Towards Painless, Free, Open Phone Data

We're a decade into loosely-coupled Web service APIs, yet we all mentally translate phone numbers into locations on a daily basis. This doesn't need to happen; our tools should do it for us, and the translation should be as close to effortless as possible.

I'll demo a new, open service and API for appending human- and machine-oriented data to phone numbers, then I'll consume the service in a couple novel, immediately useful ways.

When this data is as readily-accessible as the phone number, the number is often no longer the most useful piece of information.

I'll show how this can be presented and extended; thou shalt loosely couple.
