Read/Write World: Democratizing Locative Media

As mapping, mobile devices and social media converge, we're finding ourselves in a world where the physical and the virtual are deeply interpenetrating. Read/Write World is our project aimed at enabling the sharing and democratized access to connections between the physical and the virtual that enable this interpenetration. It includes elements of Photosynth and Bing Maps, but reconfigures these and other components in a more open manner. In this talk we'll cover this vision-- where we are now, and where we're going.
